📣 Speaking: I believe in sharing knowledge with a broader community. You will often find me speaking at meetups, conferences, and retweeting on Twitter. I am also active in global communities such as ResearchOps.

🦸🏻‍♀️ Mentoring: I also mentor folks who are starting out in the field of UX research and design. In this process, I learn a lot about myself and find it quite satisfying.

📚 Reading: My preferred way of learning is by reading. I am constantly looking for good book suggestions. I am happy to recommend books — be it fiction, non-fiction, strategic design, research and design.

Topics I speak about, facilitate workshops, think about..

Service Design and Collaboration

Having moved from an agency to a product company and from engineering to the field of user experience, I realise I like to create the space for building impactful products. I do this by facilitating workshops, making sense of complex information, and structuring our collaborative practices.

UX Research and ResearchOps

Joining the ResearchOps community back when there were a handful of people gave me a good glimpse of how fast this topic has evolved. I designed and co-facilitated a workshop on Getting Started with ResearchOps. I also hosted the Netherlands edition of Researchers Skills Framework.

Inclusive design

I believe that diversity alone doesn’t lead to inclusion. I have spoken at several conferences about Understanding cultural differences and their impact on design. I co-facilitated a workshop at UXinsight festival 2020 and wrote a blogpost on Driving inclusivity as UX researchers.

A side project that I am excited about

100 days of feelings

I painted for 100 days exploring the feelings that I experience. I want to expand my vocabulary so that I can answer "How are you?" with more words than just "good" or "alright".
